I am especially passionate about the mind, body, spirit connection and seek to understand your story from a genuinely heart centred holistic perspective.
I believe strongly in living in healthy right relationship with ourselves, each other, and the Earth. I use natural, holistic, non-toxic treatments such as homeopathy, herbal medicine, nutraceuticals, nutrition, acupuncture and counselling that work in gentle and effective cooperation with the body to stimulate your own natural ability to heal.
As a facilitator in your personal healing journey, my goal is to bring you back to a state of harmony and balance through treatments that are customized and grounded in both modern evidence-based naturopathic medicine and ancient traditional medicine approaches.
My clinical practice is centered on mental health in adults and youth such as anxiety, depression, grief, ADD/ADHD, PTSD, complex trauma and insomnia. My approach is to support and collaborate with patients on the path to inner peace and vibrant health by using natural medicines to address mental, emotional and physical imbalances.
I aim to empower others through providing foundations to optimize self-regulation, balance and renewal. Mostly all mental health concerns are associated with other conditions so I work with a range of other ailments. I have additional focus in immunity and digestive disorders.
I hold a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, and additional education in Environmental Studies, herbal medicine and Homeopathy.
I am currently enrolled in the Traumatic Stress Studies Certification at the Trauma Research Foundation, with mentorship from the world's leading experts in trauma such as Bessel Van Der Kolk, MD, Richard Swartz, Ph.D and Elizebeth Warner, Psy.D.
I have a general family practice and welcome all patients with a variety of conditions. I provide a trauma informed, culturally safe, inclusive and compassionate place for your healing journey.
Born and raised in the pristine wildlands of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories and Haida Gwaii, British Columbia, these places nurtured my deep relationship with the Earth and connection with all things natural and alive.
My love for the natural world and living systems began with working in biological research at the University of Toronto and Toronto Western Hospital. I then transitioned to a career in the environmental field and supporting Indigenous communities to reduce the impacts of development on the environment and human health.
After working in academic biological research and the environment for some time, I was deeply inspired to work with nature and people in a different way. During university and several years after I struggled with debilitating bouts of depression.
I was moved to share the gifts of natural healing with others after natural medicine helped me to totally overcome depression and other associated ailments. I know first hand what its like to persevere through adversity and transform health concerns. I'm here to tell you there is hope through natural healing.
I am motivated by natural healthcare that is connected to place that honors each person’s unique experience and capacity for healing. I look forward to working with you as an ally on your journey back to health and wellness!
